Karen Henry is a committed 4-H Youth Development Agent at the University of Florida IFAS Extension in Seminole County, where she helps youth build the foundation to thrive. Through engaging programs focused on positive youth development, she empowers young people to develop essential workforce and life skills. Collaborating with a dedicated team of volunteers, supporters, and donors, Karen cultivates a nurturing environment that fosters growth and opportunity for every participant. Outside of work, Karen stays active by running, reading, cooking, cycling, and exploring new places, near and far. With a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development from the University of Florida and a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida, as well as being a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) and Certified in Volunteer Administration (CVA), Karen combines her educational background with a deep passion for youth development to create meaningful change in her community.
