Whether you’re interested in serving others, planning events, or growing as a leader, the Ambassador program offers opportunities to make a meaningful impact while connecting with fellow 4-H members.
What Are the Seminole County 4-H Ambassadors?
The Seminole County 4-H Ambassadors are a dedicated team of youth leaders representing 4-H members from across the county. The Seminole County 4-H Ambassadors meet monthly to support and strengthen the local 4-H program by:
- Planning and assisting with county 4-H programs, events, and activities.
- Serving as a connection between local 4-H clubs and county, district, and state 4-H leadership opportunities.
- Building leadership skills through public speaking, teamwork, event planning, and service.
- Representing the voice of youth within Seminole County 4-H.
No matter your interests or experience level, the Ambassador program provides a welcoming environment where you can develop new skills, make a difference, and have fun along the way.
How Can I Get Involved?
Becoming a Seminole County 4-H Ambassador is easy! First, make sure that you are a Seminole County 4-H member through joining a 4-H club or becoming an Independent 4-H member. The Seminole County 4-H Ambassadors is a county-level 4-H leadership experience. It is ideal for youth ages 11-18 (as of September 1). Younger youth may attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Attend Monthly Meetings
Seminole County 4-H Ambassadors meet on the first Thursday of each month, September through May, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Meetings are held at the UF/IFAS Extension Seminole County Auditorium, located at 250 W. County Home Road, Sanford, FL 32773.
Join a Committee
Seminole County 4-H Ambassadors can participate on committees that help plan and organize county events, leadership activities, community service projects, and other 4-H programs. Committees meet during regular Ambassador meetings, making it easy to get involved.

- Present your Candidate Speech
- Speech Night: Thursday, September 3 at 6:30 p.m.
- Location: UF IFAS Extension Seminole County
- Each candidate will deliver one speech (up to 5 minutes) answering these questions:
- What qualities or experiences make you the right person for this position
- What does leadership mean to you and how would you demonstrate it
- How will you make sure all youth in Seminole County 4-H feel represented and included?
After all speeches, voting will take place. Each youth may only present one speech, even if applying for multiple positions.
