It’s Food Waste Prevention Week!

April 4th-8th, 2022 is Food Waste Prevention Week!

There is an estimated 30-40 percent of food waste in the United States, according to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). What is food waste and what can we do to prevent it? Food waste occurs when food that has been made for consumption is not eaten or discarded. This can occur for many different reasons and can happen at any stage of the production and supply chain.
