Master Gardener Volunteer Spring Festival Annual Plant Sale

Plant Sale FlyerThe UF/IFAS Taylor County Master Gardener Volunteers will hold their Annual 2026 Spring Plant Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Taylor County Extension office located at 203 Forest Park Dr., Perry. (Forest Capital Hall).

Many plants available for purchase will be Florida natives suited for North Florida as well as a selection of hard-to-find, Florida-Friendly and pollinator plants, fruits, vegetables, succulents, hanging baskets, and more.

Master Gardener Volunteers and I will be onsite to help answer your gardening questions and several (10 -15) minute break out sessions on topics: composting, soil testing, pollinator census, and natives, are planned throughout the day.

Please keep your used plant pots, one, three-gallon nursery pots and especially small 3 – 4” pots, to donate to the Master Gardener Volunteer program. They are needed throughout the year for potting up plants and starting seeds for the annual plant sale. You can bring them to the plant sale. You will be applying a core principle that supports an integrated approach to landscape practices that conserve and protect water and other natural resources…Recycling.  There are eight other principles that include: #1 Right plant, right place, #2 Fertilize appropriately, #3 Attract wildlife, #4 Recycle, #5 Water efficiently, #6 Mulch, #7 Manage yard pest responsibly, #8 Reduce stormwater runoff, and #9 Protect the waterfront. More information on how you can have a Florida-Friendly Landscape go to http://ffl.ifas.ufl.edu or contact Lisa Strange, Ag & Natural Resource Agent at 850-838-3508.

In addition to the plants listed above, Master Gardener Volunteers will offer painted and unpainted rain barrels and bluebird houses they have crafted. The Taylor County Master Gardener Volunteers use the proceeds from the plant sale to provide educational programs for the public.

Please note that only cash or checks will be accepted.
