UF/IFAS hemp researchers and Extension faculty will host a series of free informational webinars throughout 2023. The webinars will share the knowledge gained from the hemp program’s research and Extension efforts over the past four years.
“We have learned a lot over the past four years working with the crop and we want to ensure that information is easy to access for growers and those interested in growing hemp in Florida,” said Zachary Brym, UF/IFAS assistant professor and hemp project lead scientist. “Hemp research and Extension work is ongoing, and these webinars are just a snapshot of what we’ve worked on so far.”
The first session on Monday, Feb. 6 kicks off the bi-monthly series with a discussion of permitting and farm planning. Future sessions include:
- April 3: Hemp planting and nutrient management
- June 5: Hemp disease diagnostic and management
- Aug. 7: Hemp harvest and processing
- Oct. 2: Hemp products
- Dec. 4: Year-in-review
Registration for the February session is available now. Future session details including registration information will be posted on the UF/IFAS hemp resources events page.
