Celebrate Water Conservation Month with free UF/IFAS Extension webinars that will help reduce water consumption, save money and help the planet.
“Conserving water is the most important action that we can take to sustain our water supplies without resulting in unacceptable impacts to water sources and related natural resources,” said Yilin Zhuang, UF/IFAS Extension Central District water resources regional specialized agent. “Outdoor water use is typically the largest component of residential use, especially these homes with in-ground irrigation systems so we are excited to partner with Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ on this webinar series.”
“Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ is all about protecting and conserving water, so we are happy to bring these virtual workshops to our residents in Sanford and beyond,” said Tina McIntyre, UF/IFAS Extension Seminole County Florida-Friendly Landscaping agent. “I am so excited that the city of Sanford is providing free trees, rain barrels, butterfly container gardens, shower heads and more to entice people to learn about how they can better protect and conserve our most valuable resource: fresh water.”
