This holiday season, you and your family are going to be spending a lot of time together. Instead of letting your children stay glued to a screen, let me introduce you to 4-H Activity guides.
4-H Activity Guides are guides through the Clover initiative designed for hands-on learning anywhere. There are many different categories of Activity Guides including:
- 4-H at Home Activity Guide – Grades: Pre-K-12
- Explore Food Systems – Grades: 6-12
- Gardening at Home – Grades: 3-8
- Get Ready to Pay for College – Grades: 9-12
- Emotional Wellness – Grades: 6-12
- Grow & Make Your Own Food – Grades: Pre-K-12
- Health Rocks! ® – Grades: 6-12
- Make Healthy Food Choices – Grades: K-5
- Healthy Living Guide – Grades: Pre-K-12
- Holiday Activity Guide – Grades: 1-12
- Inspire Kids to Do – Grades: Pre-K-12
- The Power of Mindfulness – Grades: 6-12
- Pollinators – Grades: Pre-K-10
- The Nurturing Power of Nature – Grades: Pre-K-5
- Veterinary Science: Stopping Sickness – Grades: 6-8
- Beef Cattle Nutrition – Grades: 3-8
- Heartland Bees – Grades: 2-8
The books are 100% free. However, the activities in these books do have differing price ranges to be able to complete. Choose the activity that works for you! These books offer budget friendly ways to keep your child learning at home. They also range in activities from Pre-K to 12th grade, so anyone can have fun!

- There you will find a quick form to fill out to gain access to all their activity guides. When I say quick, it took me less than a minute to complete!
- After that, the page will load to reveal all the activity guides! You can download whichever you and your child are most interested in. Each guide has many different activities to explore, so have fun perusing!
