Technical Assistant for Equine Reproductive Specialist:
Rhinebeck Equine (Rhinebeck, NY) is offering a position for a technical assistant to an Equine Reproductive Specialist for Spring 2019.
The majority of time will be spent assisting in the day to day management of horses on commercial breeding farms. In addition, the applicant will assist in the management of select hospitalized cases. This may include assisting with the breeding management mares with chilled or frozen semen as well as embryo transfer.
Primary requirements will be assisting the veterinarian with medical procedures, carrying equipment and supplies to and from the mobile unit, laboratory work, and stocking the truck with supplies.
Experience with horses is preferred but not essential. Computer skills including word processing, excel and data entry are important but also may be acquired.
Applicants should be compassionate, motivated, organized and detail oriented. Applicant will be required to work Monday through Friday and each week will consist of a minimum for 40 hours per week.
