Happy World Oceans Day! #OceansDayChallenge

Today is World Oceans Day! The day was created 29 years ago to celebrate our oceans and bring awareness for their protection and conservation.

We depend on our oceans*. Some of our actions are critically harming them, and we need to act now.

Regardless of where you live—near to or far from the coast—you can help conserve the oceans. The National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration has listed the top 10 things that you can do to help the oceans, and these are:

And to inspire you to be part of the solution and to show your love and appreciation, I created the #OceansDayChallenge. To participate in this challenge you will need to:

  1. Take a picture of yourself conducting an activity that follows under one of the ten ways to help the oceans based on the infographic above.
  2. Follow this link https://ufl.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6hdlEHd4skDKKfI to submit your picture.

This challenge will be open until July 1. All entries will participate in a raffle, and three lucky winners will be awarded the following prizes:

Prizes for the winners of the #OceansDayChallenge
Prizes for the #OceansDayChallenge winners

Thank you for caring for our oceans, for participating in this challenge, and good luck. See you in the water, and happy World Oceans Day.
