Is your business considering going green? If so, join UF/IFAS Waste Reduction Program to learn steps to implement environmentally sustainable programs into your business. This course is designed to introduce businesses with best management practices (BMPs) for implementing environmental programs at the office. Attendees will learn the basics of creating green teams, reducing waste, implementing recycling programs, and energy and water conservation strategies. Additionally, businesses will be introduced to the Sarasota County Green Business Partnership program and how to become a partner!
The workshop will cover reduction, reuse and conservation practices in:
- Business operations
- Solid waste management
- Recycling
- Energy and water consumption
