Join UF IFAS Extension Pinellas and Polk Counties to celebrate wildlife on Wednesdays this summer!
The 2019 series takes place on the first Wednesday of the month, June – September, 2019. The webinars are from 12:15 PM – 1PM and therefore, are perfect for a fun and educational lunch break!
Each webinar, 45 minutes in length, will share information on wildlife found in Central Florida. Wildlife Wednesday webinars will highlight some frequently encountered wildlife, ways to identify these different species, and discuss their role and importance in Florida ecosystems.The webinars do have a central Florida focus but the information presented is applicable to most of the state.
These events take place online, in a webinar room. Registered participants will receive the weblink via email at the time of registration and again, 30 minutes prior to the start of the webinar.

Since 2015, 596 people have participated in a Wildlife Wednesday Webinar and web-posted recordings have been accessed 6,890 times.
Cumulative results from post-program evaluations of the 2015-2018 Wildlife Wednesday Webinar series show 97% (n=387) “agree” or “strongly agree” the information received will help them to better protect natural resources. Additionally, follow-up surveys given 5-6 months after the end of the webinar series (2015 – 2018) indicate that 86% of webinar participants surveyed (n=262) adopted at least one of the webinars’ recommended behaviors to promote co-existence with wildlife in Central Florida.
