Enjoy the Essence of Summer
Are you enjoying the wonderful fresh flavors of summer? I love this time of year when “fresh from the garden” produce is readily available!! Yum! Squash, beans, peas, potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, peaches, blueberries and more!!!
However, sometimes we have more than we can eat!! Learn how to save the season’s harvest and capture the fresh flavors of summer at the upcoming Food Preservation Workshop. This will include both water bath and pressure canning methods, as well as freezing & dehydrating.
“Preserve the Essence of Summer” will be held Friday, June 15th, 10 a.m.-12 noon at the Okaloosa Extension Office. Pre-registration required by calling 689-5850. $10 fee required.
