We are now ready to register people for our new online UF/ IFAS Extension course “Greenhouse 101: Plant Science for Commercial Production”.
WHO: The course is designed for nursery/greenhouse staff in the US and internationally who do not have formal training in horticulture.
The typical participant is a section grower who has practical experience and is responsible for planting, spraying, pinching, irrigating and fertilizing ornamental crops in containers.
OBJECTIVES: Our goal is to teach the underlying horticultural science of plant growth so that staff will make effective crop decisions by understanding the “why” and not just the “how”.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: July, 13th of 2015
HOW LONG: The four-week certificate course can be taken from July 6th until 31st of 2015.
And is offered by experienced University of Florida instructors (Drs: Pearson, Freyre and Fisher)
LANGUAGES: Lectures & assignments are in both English and Spanish.(You choose)
COST: Cost is $200 per employee.
