Speaking the Brand’s Visual Language
Typography isn’t just about choosing fonts. It’s about shaping how our audience experiences our message. When used with intention, type becomes a design element that adds clarity, personality, and depth to our communications. Our typographic choices help reinforce the university’s brand while allowing room for storytelling.
See the guide below to help you choose the appropriate font for your project.
Core Font Families
We work with a curated set of typefaces that complement each other and serve distinct roles. These fonts were selected not just for their aesthetics, but for their functionality across print, digital, and environmental design.

IBM Plex Sans
This is our go-to sans serif. It’s clean, modern, and versatile, perfect for everything from body copy to navigation. It plays well with expressive fonts and holds its own in both formal and casual contexts.
Source Serif
When we need a more traditional or scholarly tone, Source Serif steps in. It’s ideal for longer reads, pull quotes, and supporting text that benefits from a classic touch.
Anybody
Our display typeface, Anybody, brings energy to headlines and short bursts of content. It’s bold, contemporary, and works beautifully alongside IBM Plex Sans and Source Serif.
Expressive Display Font
Quotes Script
While our core fonts provide consistency, this expressive typeface allows room to push creative boundaries, especially in headlines and campaign work. This font is only available through Adobe Fonts or the Canva platform.
Accessibility & Language Support
Designing for all means choosing fonts that support various needs and languages:

Noto Sans
A global workhorse, Noto Sans ensures our communications are readable across languages and scripts. It’s open-source and constantly evolving to support more glyphs.
Atkinson Hyperlegible Next
Specifically designed for readers with low vision, this font prioritizes character distinction over uniformity. It’s a smart choice for accessibility-focused projects.
IBM Plex Mono
For technical content, coding, or AI-related, this monospaced font adds clarity and structure. It also pairs well with our core fonts.
