Hillsborough County Plant Clinic Offers Free Service to Answer Lawn and Landscape Questions

Plant Clinic Services

UF/IFAS Extension Hillsborough County has trained Master Gardener Volunteers and staff to answer your questions about turfgrass, vegetables, fruit trees, ornamental plants, shrubs, trees and more. We offer insect and plant identification, soil pH testing, suggestions for plant recommendations, and disease diagnosis and science-based treatment options. We also have many free publications both digital and in print. Please note our plant clinic serves residential clients only.

3. Visit in person (no appointment needed)

Tips for Submitting Samples

Take lots of photos, up close, far away, the undersides of the leaves, healthy parts of the plant vs unhealthy parts. Bring in plant leaves, roots, stems, and flowers, as many plant parts as possible.
