Staying Well through the Holidays: Stay Active

During the holidays most people feel like they are constantly on the run, but are you staying active enough to Stay Well?

It is recommended that adults engage in at least 150 minutes of moderate activity or 75 minutes of vigorous physical activity each week. So you really need to think is my running moderate or vigorous activity. Chances are it probably isn’t, but that okay. So check out the tips below to help you stay active enough to Stay Well.

How to Stay Active:

Break it up: Break physical activity up into smaller intervals so it fits into your schedule. Do two 15 minute sessions or three 10 minute sessions.

Put on your dancing shoes: Dancing is a great way to work off some holiday calories.

Take a walk: If you are at a family gathering, suggest a walk before the feast or even between dinner and dessert.

Spice up it up: Add new movements to your traditional activities or introduce new activities that require more movement or activity.
