Discover 4-H Club

Want to learn more about 4-H? Join the Discover 4-H club which meets once a month to see what 4-H is all about and learn about a variety of topics. Cooking For Bone Health Class

February 25- April 1 | 2 pm – 4 pm or 6 pm – 8 pm |

Take steps toward improving or maintaining your bone health with our 6-week program! We will cover nutrients important to bone health, healthy eating tips, and more! Participants will also be able to taste-test recipes in class.

Brevard County Master Gardener volunteers | Monday – Thursday 9 am -5 pm

Did you know you can contact our office with your gardening questions? Our knowledgeable Master Gardener volunteers will be happy to assist you! These dedicated volunteers are ready to educate Brevard County residents on topics like soil testing, the soil food web, what to plant where, and much more. Whether you’re facing specific challenges in your yard or garden or simply seeking information, they’re here to help.

Citizens Academy

February 6 – March 20 | 9 am – 3 pm

Discover your county like never before in this extraordinary 7-week civics course! Learn how the county develops budgets, paves roads, trains employees to maintain parks, cares for natural resources, and so much more. This course also equips you with the skills and tools to become an effective leader, helping to build stronger, more sustainable, and livable communities.

Adult Mental Health First Aid Training

February 12 | 9 am – 4 pm

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is skills-based training that teaches people how to identify, understand, and respond to signs and symptoms of a mental health or substance use challenge. Like physical First Aid and CPR, MHFA helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis until professional assistance is obtained or the crisis is resolved. Studies show that MHFA training reduces stigma, improves knowledge, and increases first-aid actions toward people experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.

This workshop is geared toward preparing young adults with disabilities for work in the agriculture sector. (must be 18+)

Brevard County Farmers Market

Every Thursday at the Regional Pavilion inside Wickham Park | 3 pm – 6 pm

Join us at the market to discover a variety of homemade food from local businesses! There are many unique products like grass-fed beef, Fresh from Florida produce, spices, honey, jams, coffee, nut butters, microgreens, edible plants, a variety of baked goods and vegan desserts, olive oil, salsas, and more! We also participate in the Fresh Access Bucks (FAB) token program! This program allows SNAP recipients to buy fresh produce and other goodies with their food stamp benefits.
