Green Industries Best Management Practices Workshop

The GI-BMP program is the prerequisite for applying for the Limited Urban Fertilizer Applicators Certificate from FDACS.  Lunch is provided.

2023-2024 Brevard County 4-H Market Poultry Project

The last day to register is August 30!
The 4-H market poultry project is an 8-month project whereby youth raise chickens which are auctioned off at the end of the project. There are five required classes throughout the project.

Child Passenger Safety Seminar August 2023

August 9  |  9 am – 11 am
Learn about correct selection, installation, and use of child restraints plus how child restraints work to protect children. Eligible mothers will be able to purchase a car seat at a reduced cost at the end of the class. Must provide proof of enrollment in WIC, Medicaid, or Florida Access Benefits.

Bycatch Reduction Devices (BRDs) for Recreational Crab Traps

If you own a recreational crab trap and need a BRD, stop by our Master Gardener Desk during regular business hours. These BRDs are FREE and are designed to keep terrapin turtles out of your traps.

Florida Master Naturalist Program – Conservation Science Course

September 15 – 23
This course will cover concepts such as species diversity, measuring biodiversity, the processes that generate and maintain biodiversity, types of ecosystem services, ecological processes, habitat fragmentation, effects of human activities on ecosystems, the history of conservation in North America, and strategies for conservation planning.

My Brevard Yard Site Visits
