In June, the American Society of Animal Science (ASAS) hosted its annual meeting in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where UF/IFAS Department of Animal Sciences (ANS) faculty and students were recognized.
Students and faculty from ANS participated in the event and earned recognition for their hard work in the field of animal sciences. The event was host to a full schedule of competitions, scientific presentations, and networking and professional development opportunities for attendees. Attending this annual meeting is something faculty and students look forward to every year.
This year the following faculty members were recognized for their talents.
Each one of our faculty who were recognized also presented at the conference. Sharing science and discovery is a priority of UF/IFAS ANS. These elite faculty members are some that go above and beyond to share their work.
Two of our graduate students were also recognized as a scholarship recipients.
Organizations like ASAS give our faculty and students opportunities to explore their field further through sciences, discovery, and networking.
