Weekly Theme Descriptions
CRAFTY CREATIONS WEEK June 12th – 15th – Ages 5-13. A full week of arts and crafts. Activities will focus on creativity, imagination, and self-expression. Crafts will be designed to improve fine motor skills and teach basic crafting techniques with various media. All artists welcome.
FUN WITH FOOD WEEK June 19th -June 22nd – Ages 5-13. Activities will focus on basic cooking skills and nutrition. Campers 8 and over will have the opportunity to learn grilling techniques and will be introduced to the 4-H Food Challenge contest curriculum. Family and Consumer Science Agent, Samantha Kennedy with help guide the week of cooking activities. *Please note that meats, fruits, spices, herbs, nuts, soy, and milk will be used in these activities. *
PLANTS, BEES & TREES WEEK June 26th – June 29th – Ages 5-13. Activities will focus on learning about plants, trees, and their importance to the environment and economy. Campers will learn about herbs, vegetables, and basic plant identification. *Please note that plants, peanuts, herbs, bees, and honey will be used in activities. *
ANIMAL ADVENTURE WEEK July 10th – July 13th Ages 5-13. Activities will explore all different types of animals. Campers will learn about the classification of animals, animal habitats, migration, and wildlife ecology. Educational opportunities for all ages. Live animals present throughout the week. *Please list any animal allergies*.
FARM ADVENTURE WEEK July 17th – July 20th – Ages 5-13. Programming will center on where food comes from, livestock, and different types of farming. Activities will center around products local to Florida. Campers will be introduced to the 4-H Agriculture Judging competition curriculum. 4-H Agriculture Judging contest is held annually at the North Florida Fair. Animals will be discussed as food.
TARGET SPORTS WEEK July 24th – July 27th Ages 8 and over ONLY. Campers will be introduced to the sports of archery and air rifle. Activities will focus on learning hand and eye coordination, proper techniques and improving self-confidence.

General Camp Information
UF/IFAS Extension Wakulla County 4-H Summer Day Camp programs will start June 12, 2023 and continue through July 27, 2023. There will NOT be any camp the week of July 3rd – 8th. Each week will have a different theme. The programming is structured to promote learning and creativity. Campers will experience learning through hands on activities and instruction. Throughout the week, teamwork, leadership, and critical thinking will be encouraged. Antibullying programming will be included weekly. 4-H Summer Day Camp is a great way to keep your kids active mentally, physically, and socially during the summer.
The camp program week is Monday through Thursday.
Camp activities start at 9:00 AM and conclude at 4:00PM.
Early drop off is available from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM for an additional of $25.00 per week (per family).
Late pick up is available from 4:30 PM to 5:30PM for an additional fee of $25.00 per week (per family).
Supervised play from 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM and from 4:00PM – 5:30PM.
Youth ages: 5 to 13 years of age (Youth must have completed Kindergarten as of June 12th, 2023 and be rising 1st to 8th grade). Proof of Kindergarten completion will be required.
Youth that are rising 9th grade students can apply to volunteer for Bright Future hours. The Bright Futures Volunteer application can be found on the Wakulla County Extension website.
Fee per week 1-5: $200.00 per child (Arts and Crafts, Food Fun, Plant, Animal and Agriculture Science Weeks)
Fee per week 6: $250.00 per child (Target Sports Week)
Weekly rate includes lunch, snacks, all activities, materials, and equipment.
Weekly enrollment is limited to 30 youth. Target Sports week limited to 20 youth.
Pre-registration is required for attendance.
To hold a slot in your camp week of choice, a $50.00 deposit will be required with registration for each week. Pre-registration for a 1-week spot at camp includes a completed registration form and a payment for the $50.00 deposit. Deposits are non-refundable.

Registration for each week is required. If your child will attend more than one week of camp, please register for each week. Payments must be made at the Wakulla County Extension Office, 84 Cedar Avenue, Crawfordville, FL, 32327. The office is open Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
