Who?:
The Florida Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer and Ranchers, and UF IFAS Agriculture Extension of North-central Florida have teamed up to deliver a series of agricultural awareness educational events within the area. The information provided here outlines the details of the first event, a chartered bus tour of the Suwannee Valley.
What?:
The upcoming Suwannee Valley Farm Tour will allow state leaders and stakeholders the opportunity to interact with agriculture in North Florida and learn the impact farming has on the region first hand. Tour highlights will include, conservation efforts, agricultural diversity, economic impact, and food systems.
Farm Credit will be providing lunch.
When?:
March 26th at 9:00am – 3:00pm
Where?:
The group will depart from North Florida Research and Education Center-Suwannee Valley (NFREC-SV) and travel to various local farms before ending back at NFREC-SV for lunch. Following lunch, there will be a detailed trolley tour highlighting the farm’s research.
