The 10th Annual Holiday Bake-Off brought out 112 entries by 59 different youth participants! It was great to see the enthusiasm and creativity of Suwannee County 4-H members. The Holiday Bake-Off exists to encourage youth and adults to work together on a project. Unlike traditional 4-H projects/contests where youth must do all the work themselves, this annual contest strongly encourages the adults to work with the youth to complete their delicious entries.
Golden Spoon Winners
On Monday December 11, 2017, eight judges entered Exhibition II on Suwannee County Fairgrounds to judge the many entries for the Holiday Bake-Off. After a few hours of tasting and discussion, the judges had stuffed bellies and Golden Spoon winners from 12 categories. From those 12 categories, they then chose an overall best in show, who then also won the Giant Golden Spoon. Cloverbuds, youth age 5-7 years old, were also able to enter but they were not judged.
