EVENT: Prepping your Florida home before you leave

Whether you’re bracing for a storm or packing up for summer back north, we can help you keep your Florida home safe and sound, starting with our March 6 “Closing Up Your Florida Home” class.

Unoccupied homes in Florida are prime targets for mildew growth, storm damage, pests and a host of other issues. In our free, 60-minute class, you’ll learn how to prepare your home – inside and out – before leaving for an extended duration. We’ll even share with you a handy checklist to help you remember key tasks. Register early through ufsarasotaext.eventbrite.com to reserve your spot and receive notice of any changes.

For questions or further information, please call 941-861-5000 or email sarasota@ifas.ufl.edu. If you require special accommodations to attend one of our events, please contact us in advance at 941-861-5000 or sarasota@ifas.ufl.edu.

NOTE: Classes and events may be canceled at any time due to low registration or other circumstances, with full refunds issued for paid events. Similar classes or events often are offered on future dates.
