All commercial landscape professionals who apply pesticides (including Roundup), are required to take a six-hour training class to obtain a Limited Commercial Landscape Maintenance (LCLM) license. This certification allows you to apply ‘Caution’-labeled pesticides to ornamental plants and plant beds (excluding turf or lawns).
This June 12 seminar, scheduled to run 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at our Twin Lakes Park office, also serves as a review for the Limited Lawn and Ornamental (LLO) license, which permits maintenance/custodial workers, or government employees, to apply pesticides to lawn and landscape areas on employer-owned property.
Advance registration is required, through ufsarasotaext.eventbrite.com. For more information, call (941) 861-9900 or email sarasota@ifas.ufl.edu.
