Upcoming Keeping the Pressure Down Classes: January and February

With the recent revision on what classifies hypertension, close to 50 percent of Americans now have high blood pressure, with some maybe not even realizing it. Having high blood pressure can make one more at risk for stroke and heart attack, and so it’s important to know not only if you have high blood pressure, but that you are doing what you can to reverse it.

UF Extension is offering three blood pressure series-based classes, two in January and on in February, called Keeping the Pressure Down. Each series is four weeks for an hour and half. Come learn about lifestyle factors that can not only help prevent hypertension, but, for those with high blood pressure, learn how to go back to having a normal blood pressure reading.
