Support 4-H on Give Miami Day

Valued 4-H supporters and the Miami community,

As fall approaches and a new school year begins, kids across the county are stocking up on pencils, folders, backpacks, and maybe a new outfit or two. But it’s 4-H’ers who are carrying their unmatched confidence into the classroom. From a summer spent with friends at camp or a blue-ribbon success at the fair, our youth have experienced belonging and growth since the final school bell rang. These amazing young people are thriving and have essential life skills like courage, resilience, and curiosity thanks to 4-H. The unique experiences we offer through our programs and in partnership with educators and volunteers empower and prepare young people to overcome obstacles and take on challenges with confidence.

We believe in our youth and know they will lead us to a brighter future. Need proof?

In a recent study on Career and College Readiness, our 4-H youth reported:

  • 95% are comfortable being a leader
  • 96% said 4-H helped them identify things they are good at
  • 95% think about how their choices affect others
  • 97% get along with those who are different than them

Our youth are leading the way and making our communities better, so let’s show them how much we believe in them by giving them the essential life skills they need to lead.

🚀 Give Miami Day 2023: Impacts on Youth

We’re thrilled to announce our participation in Give Miami Day 2023, a monumental 24-hour online giving event. This year, we’re dedicating our efforts towards two pivotal 4-H programs: The AgriTech and Food Systems Apprenticeship and our robust 4-H Community Clubs. Through these programs, 4-H diligently works to provide members with hands-on experiences that help them become change-makers in their communities and beyond.

🌱4-H AgriTech and Food Systems Apprenticeship

This is a Teen Ambassador Program for high school students, illuminating paths in Agriculture and Public Health careers. Your donation will help extend the program to more teens by:

  • Building Leaders: Develop leadership and essential life skills among teens.
  • Exploring Careers: Highlight the variety of opportunities in Agriculture and Public Health.
  • Enhancing Communities: Service-learning projects that foster positive change.

 🎒4-H Community Clubs

Our 4-H Community Clubs are the bedrock of our youth development initiatives. Your support will increase their capacity to implement impactful projects by:

  • Expanding Projects: Help clubs to launch diverse community and skill-building projects.
  • Empowering Membership: Offer resources, mentorship, and opportunities for all club members.
  • Strengthening Community: Provide more opportunities for positive youth-adult relationships.
