Why It Matters
Have you ever had a plant that just wouldn’t cooperate? Or wanted to know what to plant in that shady corner of your yard, but weren’t sure who to ask?
This is where Master Gardener Volunteers come in. When you attend the spring plant sale, you’re not just walking away with great plants—you’re supporting a community-powered program that offers FREE advice and resources to people just like you. Whether you’re a first-time gardener, a lifelong learner, or someone who’s simply wondering, “Why is this leaf yellow?”—this program is here for you.
All proceeds go directly to the operation of our Master Gardener Volunteer Educational Gardens and their outreach programs throughout Manatee County.
Whether it’s through teaching or tending, this program cultivates more than plants—it cultivates community.
