About the Tropicana Public Speaking Competition

The County Competition

The County competition will take place on Thursday April 11, 2019, 6:00 p.m. at the Wakulla County Extension Office.

First place winners in the 4th/5th and 6th grade county divisions will receive a full 4-H Summer Camp Scholarship to attend 4-H Camp Timpoochee July 8-12, 2019 and will be invited to represent the County at the District Competition.

Second place winners will serve as alternates to the District Competition.

The District Tropicana Competition

The District Tropicana Competition will take place on May 4, 2019 at the Liberty County Extension Office, 10405 NW Theo Jacobs Way, Bristol, Florida 32321. Students should arrive by noon central time.

District winners receive awards and recognition within the eight participating counties.

Note: Shadeville Elementary was unable to participate in the Tropicana program this year.
