New UF/IFAS Photo Database

The new UF/IFAS database is now available! It is an extensive collection of 17,000 plus images. The innovative platform replaces the database we have been using for years. The existing web address, photos.ifas.ufl.edu, automatically redirects you to the new Photo Shelter site. However, take note of and bookmark the new web address, www.ufifas.photoshelter.com. Start your journey by logging in with your Gatorlink credentials.

What You Can Expect

  • Search Functionality: Improves the ease and efficiency of searching for images and provides accurate search results.

  • High-Resolution Downloads: Seamless downloading of high-resolution image files and the capability to choose the resolution needed.

Benefits of the New Photo Database

  • Curated Collection: Explore a thoughtfully curated collection of images, free of low-resolution, duplicates, and corrupt files.
  • Improved Accessibility: The new platform is designed to be more user-friendly, allowing more members of the UF community to access the database without requiring assistance from the ICS photo team.
  • Explore the enhanced Workspaces features, which allow for filtering and image cropping.
    • Filter results based on horizontal and vertically oriented images.

    • Access the crop feature by clicking the download button, then choose crop. Use the dropdown menu to select from a list of sizes for social media platforms or set customized sizes.
