Are You at Risk for Heart Disease?

Some risk factors for heart disease cannot be controlled, such as your age, race, and family history. But you can take steps to lower your risk by changing the factors you can control. For example, your weight, your diet, activity level, and whether you smoke or drink excessively. By making a few changes, you can prevent serious illnesses that can lead to death.
