Jim E. Davis is the County Extension Director for the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension in Sumter County, where he leads programs focused on Natural Resources and Urban Pest Management. A Distinguished Service Award winner for both the National Association of County Agricultural Agents (NACAA) and the Florida Association of County Agricultural Agents (FACAA), Jim’s work has been recognized at international, national, and state levels. With over 19 years of service in Extension, he has previously served in various roles, including Florida Yards and Neighborhoods Agent, Residential Horticulture Agent, Master Gardener Coordinator, and County Extension Director for UF/IFAS Extension Hernando County. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Horticulture with a specialization in Public Garden Management and his Master of Science in Entomology with a specialization in Urban Pest Management from the University of Florida. Currently serving as President for the Florida Association of County Agricultural Agents. Jim is a native Floridian and an award-winning wildlife photographer.
