2021 Annual Recreational Scalloping Seminar Gone Virtual

Join us to learn more about recreational scalloping in Florida virtually! Don’t miss out!

During these online events, biologists from the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute will provide updates about the scallop populations in the area and discuss their ongoing monitoring projects. UF/IFAS Extension Florida Sea Grant agents will share scallop-friendly techniques for harvesting and provide updates on citizen science opportunities for the season. Boating tips will be shared by our local law enforcement officers to help everyone have a safe trip out on the water.

The 2021 recreational scalloping season is set to take place July 1st – September 24th in Hernando, Citrus, and Levy counties. The 10-day mini season in Pasco county is set for July 16th – July 25th. Always check with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for rules and regulations.

Extension programs are open to all persons without regard to race, color, sex, age, disability, religion, or national origin.
