Jeanie Houk brings extensive experience in education, academic advising, and agriculture to her role as Youth Development and 4-H Agent for Putnam County, Florida. She spent more than thirteen years with the Putnam County School Board, where she taught science, reading, and agriculture and served as the FFA Advisor. Following her work in K–12 education, she joined the University of Florida’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences as an academic advisor, supporting students in both plant and animal sciences. Her combined expertise in agricultural education and student development now supports her work in delivering high-quality youth programs through Florida 4-H. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Jeanie loves being outdoors and traveling. She especially enjoys spending time near the water and can often be found watching a sunrise, sunset, or moonrise, or relaxing with friends and family along the shoreline.
