Are you thankful? Do you show it? It is the time of year that many people talk about being thankful. However, do you ever tell anyone thank you or that you appreciate them?
As 4-H members, we often write thank-you letters to our buyers and supporters after the show. However, anytime is a good time to thank those that help you with your project. This can be done with a simple card or note of thanks and can be done any time of the year. Let’s take a moment and think about those that help us:
- Is there someone that has been helping you with your project this year?
- Did a friend or neighbor let you borrow something that you needed?
- Did someone transport your animal to weigh-in, a workshop, or the veterinarian’s office for you?
If so, I am sure that you have already said thank you. However, a simple note or card saying thank you shows that you care.
Writing a thank-you note does not take long at all. Make sure to address the card to the person you are thanking and a short sentence about what you are thankful for. Then close the note by saying thank you one more time before signing your name.
During November, take a moment to look around and notice all the things you have to be thankful for. Then take a brief moment to write a thank you note to someone that has helped you.
