Levy County is buzzing with excitement as Florida joins the Great Southeast Pollinator Census for a second year! You’re invited to be part of this fun, family-friendly citizen science event Friday, August 22 or Saturday, August 23at:

- 9:00 – 10:00 AM
- 10:30 – 11:30 AM
- 12:00 – 1:00 PM
- 1:30 – 2:30 PM

Why Participate?

Pollinators are essential. About 75% of food crops and 80% of flowering plants rely on pollination.
Learn and contribute. You’ll help scientists track pollinator populations and trends through this University of Georgia-led project.
What You’ll Do:
- Attend a short orientation.
- Head outside to observe and count insects landing on a plant for 15 minutes.
- Record your findings on a provided count sheet.
- Master Gardener volunteers will upload your results to https://gsepc.org
What to Bring: Water bottle, hat, and your curiosity!
Chairs, instructions, and count sheets provided.
