Learn more about Florida Red Tide on Nature Knowledge

It’s that time of year when “red tide” often becomes a concern for coastal ecosystems in Florida. In August 2020, the Nature Knowledge program hosted Dr. Lisa Krimsky, Water Resources Regional Specialized Agent from UF/IFAS Extension & Florida Sea Grant to explain the basics behind what exactly red tide is and where it comes from! You can view the program on Florida Red Tide here.

Links to other Nature Knowledge recordings can be found on our Nature Knowledge IFAS blog. Programs occur each month on the 3rd Thursday at 3pm; find the registration links online.

Nature Knowledge is a speaker series sharing scientific knowledge on current issues affecting nature in Florida, supported by UF/IFAS Natural Resources Extension and hosted by Dr. Shelly Johnson, State Specialized Extension Agent in Natural Resources.
