Welcome Back, UF Animal Sciences Students!

The ANS undergraduate advising office is excited to welcome UF Animal Sciences (ANS) students back for the 2023-2024 academic year! Hopefully everyone is refreshed from the summer and is ready to take on this semester. New students, welcome to the Animal Sciences Department!

Meet your Undergraduate Advisors

Alexis Strickland-Tilton

Alexis earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences (Food Animal) in 2017. She first attended Santa Fe College and then entered the University of Florida (UF) as a transfer student. She made the most of her time here by serving as the Gator Collegiate Cattlewomen’s President and a member of the Block and Bridle Club. After graduation, she was the high school agriculture teacher and FFA Advisor at Palatka High School for 5 years. Alexis currently serves as one of the advisors for the Gator Collegiate Cattlewomen and the ANS Ambassador team. Outside of work, Alexis, her husband Payton, and their two children, Hyrum & Lucille, run a family cattle operation.

Savannah Linzmaier

Savannah earned her bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in 2019. After graduation, she began working at UF in the Office of Admissions and then in the Food and Resource Economics Department. Within the department, she serves as an advisor of the Gator Collegiate Cattlewomen and the ANS Ambassador Team, alongside Alexis. Outside of work, she enjoys watching Gator football and being on the water with her husband and new baby girl, Evelyn.
