Internships at the Alltech Center for Animal Nutrigenomics and Applied Animal Nutrition offers students the opportunity to work in a professional research setting and to utilize state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Each intern is assigned to a research project in conjunction with a supervising scientist or team member.
From traditional nutrition evaluation projects to the evaluation and optimization of production processes, these projects allow students to receive valuable information and gain hands-on experience. Many Alltech interns have gone on to graduate school, while others have found career paths with Alltech.
Examples of Research Areas:
- Industrial fermentation processes
- Enzyme production and applications
- Animal feed supplementation strategies
- Nutritional physiology and nutrigenomics
- Process biochemistry, microbiology and engineering
Minimum Qualifications:
- Applicants must have completed their second year of university courses
- Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Applicants may be subject to interviews
- Full and part time internships may be available
