UF Animal Sciences Susan Brown Memorial and Don Wakeman Scholarship Application Open – due August 4, 2017

The University of Florida Department of Animal Sciences is now accepting applications for the Susan Brown Memorial and Don Wakeman Scholarships.
Selection will be based on scholarship, excellence in 4-H, FFA and/or breed association activities, and interest in the animal sciences. Scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors, college freshmen, sophomores and juniors who will pursue a degree in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences majoring in Animal Sciences at the University of Florida.
Stipends of approximately $1,000.00 (dependent on endowment money and applicant pool) will be awarded to the student each year until the recipients graduate. Terms are adjusted to normal graduation in eight semesters while maintaining a 2.5 or better cumulative grade point average, registered as a full time student (24 hours minimum for Fall and Spring Terms) and remaining an Animal Sciences major.
Completed applications (including additional submissions required in the application) must be received by August 4, 2017. To apply, follow this link.

For students who have previously earned these scholarships, and wish to renew, renewals are also due August 4, 2017. To be considered for renewal, please email an updated resume to Shirley Levi (slevi@ufl.edu) and carbon copy Dr. Saundra TenBroeck (sht@ufl.edu).
