University of Florida Equine Sciences Center Looking to Hire Student Employee

Are you are an undergraduate or graduate student in the Gainesville or Ocala area looking to build up your resume or professional school application?

The University of Florida Department of Animal Sciences Equine Sciences Center in Ocala, FL is looking to hire a couple student employees.

This is a great opportunity for Animal Science students to gain paid experience, particularly in equine reproduction, with housing provided.

The position is open to students registered at the University of Florida, Santa Fe College, and Central Florida College; with priority given to University of Florida students enrolled in Animal Sciences.

Primary duties include:

  • Feeding and caring for horses at the center on a daily basis
  • Assist in parturition of broodmares in spring
  • Residing on the farm is a requirement of the position – housing is at no cost to the student employee

Pay: Minimum Wage, with a maximum of 20 hours per week as a student employee
