About Pure Nut Mylk

Founder Vicki Cleaves-Gregory has been a pharmacist for more than 30 years. While working for a large company, she began to notice a huge shift: consumers avoiding traditional dairy in favor of alternative milks. But, she noticed an absence of quality choices.

Researching the industry, Vicki found that the alternative milk category had seen tremendous growth over the past decade but the quality of the dominating brands had not changed. Many commercially available almond milks contain less than four almonds per cup, and consist of mainly water and chemicals, she discovered. And the gels, gums, emulsifiers and other thickeners used in many products caused significant problems for many consumers, including stomach-related issues that cause some to stop using dairy.

And, alternative milks on the market can irritate to the gastro-intestinal (GI) tract, with thickeners clogging the lining of the GI tract, affecting movement of water and nutrients in or out of the intestines.

Pure Nut Mylk developed a high-quality almond milk with great sensory characteristics (delicious; almond aroma and taste; natural color, not gray); very much like homemade almond milk but with a shelf life that supports distribution. Pure Nut Mylk contacted the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and worked with the agency for more than a year to develop our patent-pending process. In 2017, the company began selling products to cafes and coffee shops, and local grocery stores.

Today, Pure Nut Mylk now offers delicious almond milks in five different flavors (original, vanilla, chocolate with local honey, vegan chocolate, and cold brew) and three sizes (12, 32 and 64 ounces). Find Pure Nut Mylk products in grocery stores around the state of Florida, and select cafes and coffee shops on the Gulf Coast. We are raising the standards of the almond milk industry, one bottle at a time.
