We are pleased to announce the Southwest Florida Small Farmers Network Meeting @ Oakes Demo Farm in Naples, FL

WHEN: Monday, November 5, 2018

TIME: 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM

WHERE: Oakes Demo Farm, Deer Run Lane, Naples, FL 34120

WHAT: The SWFL Small Farmers Network is a resource-network focused on diversified and sustainable farming systems.

This event is open to established and beginning farmers from Hillsborough County south to Collier County.

Connect with growers and food entrepreneurs in the region.

We’ll take a farmer-led tour of Oakes Demo operations.

UF/IFAS Extension presentations on member-selected topics that include, but are not limited to: food safety, direct marketing strategies, regulation and policy issues, aquaculture, diversified farming systems, and more!

We’ll host a Pot-luck lunch, so please bring something to share!

We will also have a Seed Swap with donations from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds and Seed Savers Exchange.

About Location: Oakes Demonstration Farm grows a variety of herbs and vegetables, annual flowers, raises chickens, keeps bees, and farms shrimp and tilapia. They provide community education and stock Oakes retail markets and some local restaurants.
