Species On The Move is back!
Species On The Move is an international conference series on climate change covering marine, freshwater and terrestrial ecosystems. Species On The Move 2023 will be hosted by the University of Florida in Everglades National Park, Florida. Held from May 15th – May 19th, 2023, this conference will bring together scientists and natural resource managers working in the disciplines of global change, theoretical ecology, biodiversity management and more!
Species On The Move 2023 has 12 conference themes, some of which include:
- Impacts of climate change on community structure and patterns of taxonomic, functional, and phylogenetic diversity
- Governance, legal, and ethical issues for shifting species and changing ecosystems
- Invasion risk and range redistribution of non-native species under climate change
WEC assistant professor, Dr. Brett Scheffers, is Conference Co-Convenor alongside Florida Climate Institute’s Ms. Carolyn Cox.
