Do you want to learn about local plants and animals?  Are you a bird watcher?  This might be the perfect opportunity for you.

During this bioblitz event, participants can venture out on their own and use iNaturalist to observe and catalog the biodiversity at the site including butterflies and wildflowers. Spruce Bluff Preserve is located at 611 SE Dar Lane Port St. Lucie. Participants should install the iNaturalist app on their phone prior to making observations at Spruce Bluff Preserve and join the project “Spruce Bluff Preserve BioBlitz”. Extension programs are open to all persons without regard to race, color, sexual orientation, sex, age, disability, religion, or national origin.

Participants should wear appropriate field attire.  Closed toe shoes, hiking boots, long pants, hat, sunscreen and water are recommended.  Personal cellphone are recommended for iNaturalist bioblitzes.  You can also take photos with other digital cameras and log in your observations using a desktop computer or laptop.

Reach out to Extension Agent Ken Gioeli if you have questions.
