Muhly grass is a showstopper this time of year

Have you seen this blooming ornamental grass in landscapes around central Florida? This fall showstopper is Muhly grass (Muhlenbergia capillaris), an easy-to-grow native grass.

Muhly grass is clumping and is showy in the fall. It looks attractive in mass plantings or as a specimen plant in the yard. When it is not blooming, this grass blends into the landscape with it soft, fine foliage. It is a wonderful addition to a sunny landscape.
