Fall Fun on Osceola County Farms

Osceola County farms and ranches have plenty of entertainment options this season, from fuzzy farm animals to hay rides to getting the bejeebers scared out of you. Here are some tips for getting the most out of these fall farm attractions:

  • Don’t wait! Weather is unpredictable, tickets sell out, pumpkins go fast. Plan for a backup date if you are rained out.
  • These events are on working farms and ranches, dress for un-glamorous conditions. Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes, wear insect-protective clothing, use sun protection and be prepared for variable weather.
  • Leave your pets at home. Many farms and ranches do not allow outside animals because it presents risks to their own farm animals. Also, you don’t know how your pet may react to spooky costumes, sounds and new environments.
  • Before heading out to the farm, always check websites for updates on days and times of operation, activities available, and farm rules.
  • Have realistic expectations. People here are used to extravagant theme park experiences; please keep in mind that while our farmers and ranchers do their best to offer fun and safe experiences, they don’t have billion dollar budgets and limitless staff. Remember to thank our local agricultural producers for growing our food and inviting people to their farms and ranches.
