The UF|IFAS North Florida Research and Education Center – Suwannee Valley (NFREC-SV) will host the Suwannee Valley Peanut Harvest Field Day with Allied Industry on August 22, 2019, at the NFREC-Suwannee Valley farm location in Live Oak.
This event will be hosted to present a general review of equipment adjustments and peanut harvest maturity to aid producers in minimizing loss at harvest. There will be live demonstrations of harvest equipment and pre-harvest adjustment suggestions. All farm owners, equipment operators, and farm managers are invited to attend!
At the Suwannee Valley Peanut Harvest Field Day, guests will have the opportunity to mingle with allied industry partners during the vendor trade show. In addition, extension agents will discuss their current trial work and field demonstrations as well remarks from the UF/IFAS researchers located on the college campus. Other topics of discussion will include how to reduce loss at digging and how to increase efficiency when harvesting.
Attendees will be able to observe several harvesters and learn about mechanical improvements from representatives of KMC, Amadas, and Columbo companies. They will be on site to conduct demonstrations and answer questions.

4:30 p.m. Registration and Industry Interaction
5:00 p.m. Event Begins
Industry Dinner to follow, along with door prize presentations.
