GAINESVILLE — The Institute of Food and Agricutltural Sciences’ Environmental Horticulture Graduate Student Association will host a Spring Plant Festival on March 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is free and the festival is open to the general public.
The festival will be held at the University of Florida Greenhouse Complex near Fifield Hall off of Hull Road. Special educational seminars will be given all day by local experts and UF professors.
Topics will include spring gardening, water gardening, floral design, plant establishment, biocontrol uses and growing herbs. Garden and interior plants, trees, shrubs, cut flowers, native plants, container gardens and other horticultural necessities will be available for purchase. Entertainment for children will be provided.
