Nassau Volunteers Rock 2019: Marianne Burns

Marianne and her family at 4-H Day at the CapitolApril is Volunteer Appreciation Month and Nassau County 4-H would like to recognize one of our non-traditional volunteers, Marianne Burns.

This is Marianne’s first year as a 4-H volunteer and she has been busy helping with numerous 4-H events and activities! She helped organize our delegation’s visits with legislators for 4-H Day at the Capitol; she regularly helps out with the embryology program; and recently, along with one of our club leaders, she helped run a fundraising booth at Tractor Supply. Marianne is quick to jump in and help at any and every 4-H event she attends and she always brings along the entire family to help out. Currently, Marianne is preparing for her first overnight experience with 4-H. She will be volunteering for the entire week at Camp Cherry Lake this summer!

Marianne, thank you for being an awesome volunteer and a great role model to our youth! You Rock!
