Florida homeowners with private wells or septic systems are invited to learn more about their home water and wastewater management system through three free webinars hosted by a UF/IFAS and MREC expert.
WHO: Yilin Zhuang, water resources regional specialized agent.
WHAT: Three webinars covering topics about private wells, septic systems and maintenance for both before and after storms. Attendees have the option to purchase a well water testing kit for $25. The kit, which covers total coliform bacteria and E. coli, will be shipped to attendees in a foam cooler with a prepaid overnight shipping label. After collecting a water sample, attendees can drop off the box at their local FedEx office during the designated drop off-time.

- Thursday, Aug. 22 from 2 – 3 p.m.: Basics of Private Wells
- Thursday, Aug. 29 from 2 – 3 p.m.: Basics of Septic Systems
- Thursday, Sept. 5 from 2 – 3 p.m.: Well and Septic System Maintenance Before and After Storms
